Introducing Playbook

Define how Brevity scores and coaches your conversations.

Playbook is where your organization defines how Brevity scores and coaches your conversations — your team, the way you sell, what "good" looks like, and how it's measured. It's the configuration layer that powers Meeting Analyzer's scoring.

Early access (Alpha): Playbook is rolling out to a select set of organizations first, with broader availability to follow. If you'd like your organization considered for early access, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

What Playbook is

Until now, Brevity's scoring worked from a standard, built-in rubric — which meant you couldn't see exactly what drove a score or adjust it to match how your team actually sells. Playbook changes that.

In Playbook, you define your own scoring framework: the positions on your team, the sales motions you run, the meeting types where they happen, and the rubric that grades them. Once it's set, Meeting Analyzer scores every meeting against your definitions — and every score traces back to the criteria you set.

The result is a rubric that is yours: owned, editable, and transparent — instead of a black box.

How Playbook works with Meeting Analyzer

Playbook and Meeting Analyzer are a pair:

  • Playbook defines what to score and how — your positions, processes, meeting types, rubrics, and signals.
  • Meeting Analyzer does the scoring and serves the results — scores, evidence quotes, and analytics across your team.

Because the rubric is yours and visible, reps and managers can see exactly which criterion produced a score, supported by quotes from the meeting.

What you can do in Playbook

Playbook walks you through a guided setup to get your organization running:

  • Roster import — the people with a Brevity seat are brought into your roster automatically; there's nothing to add by hand.
  • Assign positions — the one piece that needs your input up front: give each person a position (AE, SDR, CSM, and so on). A position tells Brevity which processes and rubrics apply.
  • Assign processes to positions — link each position to the sales motions it runs (Enterprise, Renewal, POC…).
  • Map meeting types and stages — define the meeting types each process uses, and the stages each meeting breaks into.
  • Set scoring criteria — give every stage its milestones and rubric criteria, so Brevity scores calls against what good looks like.
  • Configure coaching rules — set the tone and length of feedback, and tailor coaching by position, process, or meeting type.
  • Set up signals and alerts — the phrases and moments Brevity should watch for (competitor mentions, pricing, risk) and where to route them.

Start from what you already have

You don't have to build all of this by hand. In the Data tab you can upload materials you already use — a roster CSV, a sales playbook, a meeting-types doc, coaching samples, or a phrase/compliance list — and Playbook extracts the structure for you. Each upload is shown for you to review and apply or reject before anything is committed, so you stay in control of what goes live.

FAQ

Is Playbook available to everyone?
Not yet. Playbook is in early access with a select set of organizations, and we're expanding availability over time. Talk to your Customer Success Manager if you'd like your org considered.

How is Playbook different from Meeting Analyzer?
Playbook is where you define your scoring framework; Meeting Analyzer is where that framework is applied to your meetings. They work together.

Do I have to build everything from scratch?
No. In the Data tab you can upload materials you already have — a roster, a sales playbook, a meeting-types doc, coaching samples — and Playbook extracts the structure for you to review and apply or reject before it goes live.

Will reps be able to see why they got a score?
Yes. Because the rubric is yours and visible, scores trace back to the specific criteria you defined, with supporting evidence from the meeting.
