Reporting & Exports in Brevity

Overview

Brevity offers a range of reporting options so you can share progress, audit activity, and work with your data offline. Reports are available as PDF downloads (for visual dashboards and report cards) and CSV exports (for raw data you can open in Excel or import into other systems).

This article is a quick-reference guide to every export available in Brevity, organized by area. Each section links to a more detailed article where applicable.

Analytics

Analytics dashboards provide both PDF and CSV export options depending on the dashboard. For a deeper dive into Analytics and each available dashboard, see Understanding the Analytics Tab.

PDF Downloads

Every analytics dashboard includes a Download as PDF button that generates a print-ready version of the current view. The PDF includes a Brevity logo header, a filter summary showing your active selections (time period, teams, roles, people, assignments, score filter), and all dashboard widgets laid out in a defined order. Navigation and interactive controls are hidden automatically.

PDF download is available on the following dashboards:

  • Overview — Leaderboard, metric cards, Conversations By Day, and Activity Feed
  • Adoption — All adoption widgets in print-optimized layout
  • Engagement — Leaderboard, engagement metrics, and related widgets
  • Individual Progress — Full progress table with rotated column headers to fit all columns on one page

Tip: The PDF reflects whatever filters you currently have applied. Set your filters before clicking Download as PDF to get exactly the data you need.

Note: Paginated content (such as the Activity Feed or Individual Progress table) includes a note in the PDF indicating that additional rows are available on the web version.

Individual Report Card (PDF)

Each user's Individual Report Card also has its own Download as PDF button. This generates a focused, single-user view suitable for sharing in 1:1s or performance reviews.

Individual Progress (CSV)

The Individual Progress dashboard includes a CSV export option that downloads the progress table as a spreadsheet. The export respects your current search term and score filters, so what you see on screen is what you get in the file.

If External IDs are enabled for your organization, the CSV includes an External ID column. See External IDs for User Records for details.

User Management

Members CSV

Organization administrators can export a CSV of all users from the Organization Settings page. This download includes member details such as name, email, role, and status. When External IDs are enabled, the export includes an External ID column as well. See External IDs for User Records for more information.

Training Plans

Training Plan assignments are exportable as CSV, including assignment status and completion data. For a full walkthrough of Training Plan exports, see Training Plan Analytics.

Access Logs

Activity and access logs can be exported as CSV for compliance and auditing purposes. For details on what's included and how to run an export, see Access Log Exports.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I save the PDF to my computer instead of printing it? When the print dialog appears, select "Save as PDF" as your destination (instead of a physical printer). This is available in all major browsers.

Why doesn't my PDF include all rows from a table? Dashboard PDFs display the data currently visible on the page. For tables with pagination (like Individual Progress or Activity Feed), the PDF includes a note that additional data is available on the web. Use the CSV export if you need the complete dataset.

Can I schedule or automate report exports? Not currently. All exports are initiated manually from the relevant page.

Do PDF exports include charts and graphs? Yes. All chart widgets render in the PDF with their current data. Charts are sized to avoid page breaks mid-widget.
