Roles Overview
Defining the three types of Brevity roles - Team Admin, Group Admin, and Member - and their associated permissions
We’re currently transitioning our admin model from Team > Group to Organization > Team > Group, with admin roles becoming Organization Admin and Team Admin. As a result, some language in this article (for example, references to “Team” or “Group”) may not exactly match what you see in the product today. The underlying functionality described here remains the same, even if the labels and hierarchy in your app look slightly different while we complete this transition.
Roles Overview
There are three types of roles that Brevity users can have: Team Admin, Group Admin, and Member. Further, users can occupy different roles at different levels of the Brevity team. For example, a user can have the member role at the All Team level and the Group Admin role within a specific group.
When considering how to assign roles, our recommendation is to:
- Make users Team Admins when:
- They need to manage content for all Brevity users.
- They need to manage user access for all Brevity users.
- They need access to conversation histories and metrics for all Brevity users.
- Make users Group Admins when:
- They need to manage content for their group.
- They need to manage user access for their group.
- They need access to conversation histories and metrics for their group.
