# Set up and launch your organization with Launch Hub

## Work through the four setup sections and schedule your launch.

Launch Hub is a guided checklist for setting up a new Brevity organization. It walks you through content, people, permissions and defaults, then schedules the invitations that bring your people in. Nothing is sent to your people until you select **Schedule launch** in the last step.

### Before you start

- Launch Hub is for **organization admins**. Team admins and members see the regular Home page.
- Brevity turns on Launch Hub for your organization. If you are an organization admin and don't see it, ask your Customer Success Manager.
- Launch Hub stays on your Home page until your organization has launched.

### Open Launch Hub

Select **Home**. Launch Hub opens in place of the regular dashboard.

The first time you open it, a welcome card appears. Select **Start setup** for a short tour. Select **Show me around** at the top of Launch Hub to replay the tour.

### How Launch Hub is laid out

- **Progress bar.** The top of the page shows how many steps are done and about how many minutes are left.
- **Sections.** Steps are grouped into four sections: **Content**, **People**, **Permissions & defaults** and **Launch**. Each section shows how many of its steps are done. The open section shows its steps as tabs, with the current step below.
- **Right panel.** The top half explains the step you are on: **Why it matters**, **Example**, **How to decide** and a help article. The bottom half, **Before you can go live**, lists what blocks scheduling.

Each step shows **Done when:** with what finishes it. Move between steps with **Back** and **Next**, by selecting a step's tab, or with the arrow keys. On the last step of a section, **Next** reads **Finish** and moves to the next section. **Next** doesn't mark a step done. A step is marked done when its work is saved.

### The steps

All steps are required except **Create content groups (optional)**. An optional step has a **Skip** button.

#### Content

1. **Build your knowledge base.** Select **Open** to answer the guided setup interview. The step is done once your recommended curriculum has been generated, and guided setup returns you to Launch Hub.
2. **Generate your first course.** Select **Open** to generate a Beginner course from your recommended curriculum, or select **Or build your own in Course Builder**.

#### People

1. **Create teams by reporting line.** Create the teams that decide who sees whose results.
2. **Create content groups (optional).** Group people by tenure, product or role to send them content.
3. **Upload your people.** Upload your roster. Nobody gets an invitation when you upload.
4. **Assign team admins.** Upload a file that places people under their team admins, or adjust one person on the sub-teams page. The step is done when nobody is left without a team and every team has an admin. It can't be skipped.

#### Permissions & defaults

1. **Set member permissions.** Choose what members can do beyond practicing and seeing their own results.
2. **Set role play defaults.** Choose the phone and language settings every new role play assignment starts with. See [Set organization role play defaults](https://support.brevitypitch.com/en-us/knowledgebase/set-organization-role-play-defaults?hsLang=en-us).

#### Launch

1. **Assign your first course.** Select **Open** to create an assignment with a course, the people it is for and a due date.
2. **Choose admin alerts.** Choose who gets scorecard emails.
3. **Schedule invite waves.** Give everyone you uploaded an invitation date. See [Roll out Brevity in waves](https://support.brevitypitch.com/en-us/knowledgebase/roll-out-brevity-in-waves?hsLang=en-us).
4. **Write the welcome email.** Add your own words to the invitation, or send it without a message. See [Roll out Brevity in waves](https://support.brevitypitch.com/en-us/knowledgebase/roll-out-brevity-in-waves?hsLang=en-us).
5. **Review and schedule launch.** Clear any blockers, then select **Schedule launch**.

Steps you finish outside Launch Hub, such as creating your first assignment, are marked done when you come back to Launch Hub.

### How progress shows

Each step tab and section shows a status mark:

- A green check: done.
- A blue circle: a required step still to do.
- A gray circle: an optional step not started.
- A dash: skipped.

A section with a step that is blocking launch shows **Blocked**. Selecting a done or skipped step opens it again, so you can review or change it.

### Stop and come back

You can leave Launch Hub at any time. Your saved work stays, and Launch Hub opens on the first required step that isn't done yet. If you are looking at a different step, select **Resume:** followed by the step name at the top of the page to go back to it.

### What blocks scheduling

**Before you can go live** lists each blocker with the step that clears it, for example "Fix in People, step 4: Assign team admins". Select **Fix** to go to that step.

- **No teams created yet**: clear it in **Create teams by reporting line**.
- **Nobody on the roster yet**: clear it in **Upload your people**.
- **\[number\] people are unplaced**: some people aren't on a team. Clear it in **Assign team admins**.
- **\[number\] teams have no admin**: clear it in **Assign team admins**.
- **No org admin named**: clear it in **Assign team admins**.
- **\[number\] people are in no wave**: some people have no invitation date. Clear it in **Schedule invite waves**.
- **Schedule a wave first**: no wave has a date yet. Clear it in **Schedule invite waves**.

Only these items block scheduling. When none are listed, the panel shows "Nothing is blocking the launch."

### Schedule launch

1. Open the **Launch** section and select **Review and schedule launch**.
2. Check the card on the page.
3. Select **Schedule launch**. The button is available only when the card shows **Everything is ready**.

The card shows one of three states before you schedule:

- **\[number\] things to fix first**: clear the items under **Before you can go live**.
- **Schedule a wave first**: schedule at least one wave in **Schedule invite waves**.
- **Everything is ready**: you can schedule.

### What happens when you schedule launch

- The card changes to **Launch scheduled**.
- Each wave goes out on the date and time you set. A wave whose date has already passed goes out within a few minutes.
- Your waves are locked in Launch Hub and can't be changed there.
- Launch Hub stays on your Home page until your last wave has gone out and someone in it has accepted. After that, Home shows the regular dashboard.

 

### Frequently asked questions

**Do I have to finish every step before I can schedule launch?**  
No. Only the items under **Before you can go live** block scheduling. Finish the other steps so your people have content, permissions and defaults when they arrive.

**Can I undo Schedule launch?**  
No. Launch Hub doesn't offer a way to undo it.

**Can team admins use Launch Hub?**  
No. Launch Hub is for organization admins.

**Does anyone get an email while I set up?**  
No. Invitations go out only after you select **Schedule launch**, on each wave's date.
