What's new for Team Admin roles in Brevity

Updated July 2026

Team admins can now be scoped to just the people they manage, work from a single assignments view, and — where an org admin allows it — help run their team's Training Plans. Here's what's changed recently. Each section links to a more detailed article.

Scope a team admin to specific members (Sub-Teams)

Org admins can now limit what a team admin sees and manages to a specific subset of members — their "sub-team" — rather than the whole team. That scoping applies across the surfaces a team admin uses: conversation recordings, analytics, and digests. It's useful for larger or segmented accounts where a team admin should only ever see their own people. Sub-teams must be configured by an Org Admin.

One place to view assignments and analytics

Team admins now manage assignments and view all analytics related to their team members from within their Team view. On the Assignments table, admin and members see a single list with a filterable Team column and per-team counts so the source of an Assignment is clear without needing to change views. Assignments that aren't tied to a specific team are now labeled "Org-Wide" for clarity.

Members and team admins also see their org-wide assignments right inside their Team view — there's no need to switch to a separate "All Org" view to find everything.

Manage Training Plan due dates

Editing Training Plan due dates is now a team-admin permission in its own right — separate from the permission to edit content. It's off by default: an org admin enables it for the team admins who should manage deadlines. When it's on, a team admin can change due dates only for the members they manage.

Get alerts for your own people

Team admins now receive Training Plan Admin Notifications — at-risk learner alerts, learner completion alerts, and the weekly summary digest — scoped to just their own team and assigned members. When an admin turns any of these on, both org admins and the relevant team admins are notified, so nothing about a team admin's people slips by unseen.

FAQ

What's a "sub-team"? It's a specific set of members an org admin assigns to a team admin. Once scoped, the team admin only sees and manages those members across recordings, analytics, and digests.

Can a team admin change Training Plan due dates? Only if an org admin turns on the due-date permission for them — it's off by default, and separate from the permission to edit content.

What does "Org-Wide" mean on an assignment? It's an assignment that isn't tied to a specific team. (This label was previously shown as "All Org.")

Do team admins get their own alerts? Yes — at-risk, completion, and weekly digest notifications now reach team admins, scoped to just their assigned members.
