What's New in Brevity — March 2026

Our March release is our biggest yet. We redesigned how you navigate Brevity, refreshed the Role Play experience, and launched Training Plan Builder — a brand-new way to create structured learning programs.

This article covers everything that's new. If you're looking for a deep dive on any feature, you'll find links to the full support article in each section.

Where to Find Things

We've made changes to how Brevity looks and feels. The good news: everything you're used to is still here, and your current Home page isn't going anywhere just yet. The new Home experience is optional right now — you can toggle to it when you're ready and switch back anytime. Watch the video below for a brief walkthrough.

The biggest change you'll notice no matter which Home Page you view is the new sidebar navigation, which replaces the top menu. Every feature is now one click away from the left side of your screen, including a dedicated Ella AI button for instant access.

For a full visual walkthrough of the new navigation layout see: Navigating Brevity

Here's a quick orientation by role:

If you're an Admin, your new Home page includes:

  • A view of active assignments across your teams
  • Recent practice session activity
  • Quick access to meeting analysis and analytics
  • The ability to switch between teams instantly if you manage more than one

If you're a Member (learner), your new Home page includes:

  • Your active assignments front and center
  • Recent practice sessions so you can pick up where you left off
  • Meeting activity at a glance
  • One-click access to Ella AI coaching in the sidebar

Training Plan Builder

Training Plan Builder is a brand-new feature that lets admins create structured, sequenced learning programs inside Brevity. Think of it as your curriculum backbone — you can organize content into Chapters and Sections, combine instructional material, videos, and AI role plays into a single guided path, and assign the whole plan to your teams.

You control the pace: set progression rules so learners move through content in order, and define passing criteria so you know when someone has completed a section. Whether you're onboarding new hires, rolling out a product launch, or building an ongoing skills program, Training Plan Builder gives you a repeatable structure.

Role Play Refresh

We redesigned the Role Play experience to get you from login to practicing faster. The assignments list, the assignment detail page, and the session preview have all been updated with cleaner layouts and more obvious actions. The goal is simple: fewer clicks, less confusion, more practice time.

If you've used Role Play before, everything works the same way — it just looks better and moves faster.

More Updates

User Groups User Groups give admins a flexible way to organize users beyond team structure. Create groups by region, cohort, skill level, or anything else — then use them to filter Analytics, target Assignments, and scope Digests. Groups work alongside your existing Teams, not instead of them.

Version History Every save to any Repository item now creates a full version snapshot. You can browse the history of any item, preview what it looked like at any point, and restore a previous version with one click. No more worrying about overwriting someone else's edits.

Share Folders with Teams You can now share an entire folder of courses with another team in a single action. Every course inside the folder is shared automatically — no need to share them one by one or recreate your folder structure across teams. For guidance on creating folders and sharing content via folders, see:

Assignment Deeplinks You can now copy a single link for any assignment and share it through your LMS, email, or Slack. When a learner clicks the link, they land directly on their assignment — no navigation required.

Meeting Analyzer Improvements For teams using Meeting Analyzer, we've polished the experience with a cleaner interface, a progress bar during analysis, and the ability to change a meeting's detected type and re-run the analysis. Admins also get access to 25 configurable meeting type templates. Email, SMS, and in-app notifications are rolling out in phases.
