# Why a meeting was not scored

## Read the Troubleshoot tab, match each unscored reason to its fix, and see what happens after you fix it.

When Meeting Analyzer can't judge a call fairly, it shows a reason and what fixes it instead of a score. This article covers where those reasons appear, what each one means, and what happens after you fix the cause. It is written for org admins and team admins.

### Where you see unscored meetings

- **The Meetings list.** An unscored meeting shows a short label in the **Score** column, such as **Needs call type** or **Position has no playbook**. Hover over it for a one-line explanation. Use the **Pending** tab to see every meeting still waiting.
- **The meeting itself.** Open the meeting to see the full reason and, where one exists, the button that fixes it.
- **The setup-health banner.** Org admins see a banner above the Meeting Analyzer tabs whenever something in setup is keeping calls from being scored. Each line names the problem and its cause, with a button to the fix: **Fix in Playbook**, **Review in Playbook**, **Link the agent**, or **See all pending meetings**. You can collapse the banner; it comes back when a new problem appears.
- **The Troubleshoot tab.** Org admins and team admins use it to see how many meetings were lost and where. Team admins see their own teams.

### Read the Troubleshoot tab

Open **Meeting Analyzer** and select **Troubleshoot**. The tab follows the **Time range** and **Scope** you choose at the top.

**Where meetings are lost** follows every meeting Brevity tried to capture through five steps:

1. **Connecting the calendar**
2. **Sending the notetaker**
3. **Joining the call**
4. **Producing a transcript**
5. **Scoring the call**

Each step shows how many meetings were lost there and the reasons, with how many of the meetings that reached the step got past it. Select a reason to open the meetings behind it on the **Meetings** tab. **Reached a score** at the end counts the meetings that made it through.

This card starts from meetings Brevity holds. A meeting booked while someone's calendar connection was down never reaches Brevity, so more meetings can be missing before the first step.

**People blocking analysis** lists people whose meetings can't reach an analysis and what is missing for each: Brevity can't capture their meetings, they have no position with a live process to score them against, or both. Use **Find person…**, **Filter by team**, and the sort menu (**Most blocked**, **Longest waiting**, and others) to work the list.

**People blocking attribution** is shown to org admins only. It lists people who appear on your meetings but have no Brevity account, so those meetings can't be tied to anyone and are never scored. Many of them are customers or prospects. Tick only colleagues, then select **Add to organization**. Each person you add uses a seat on your plan and gets an invitation.

### Reasons a meeting shows instead of a score

The first column is the label in the Meetings list. The second is what the meeting's own page tells you.

Stages a call never reached are marked **Not reached** on the meeting page and are left out of the score, so a call that ended early is scored on what it contained.

### Use Quick Start to finish setup

Select the **Quick Start** tab to see which setup steps are done. Org admins see the steps for the organization. Reps see their own: connecting a calendar, choosing where their calls come from, and getting a first analysis. A rep who doesn't want to wait for the next meeting can upload a past call from Quick Start.

### What happens after you fix the cause

- **Correct meeting type** re-scores that meeting with the type you chose.
- **Assign subject** re-analyzes the meeting for the person you chose. If your organization requires approval, the meeting waits until an admin approves it.
- **Link the agent** re-scores the waiting phone calls that the new mapping resolves.
- **A new Brevity seat** is recognized within 15 minutes. Meetings the person attends after that are attributed to them.
- **A Playbook fix** (a position, a process, or a meeting type) applies to every meeting analyzed after you make it.

For meetings that were already waiting before you added a seat or changed Playbook, ask your Brevity CSM to re-run them.

### FAQ

**Who can see the Troubleshoot tab?**
Org admins and team admins. Team admins see their own teams. **People blocking attribution** and the setup-health banner are for org admins only.

**Why does Gong bring in fewer calls than we have in Gong?**
A new Gong connection brings in only calls hosted by someone with a Brevity account. A call a Brevity user attended but didn't host isn't brought in. Ask your Brevity CSM if you want this changed.

**Why is a call marked Score withheld when the rep did well?**
The call didn't cover enough of the playbook to score fairly, often because it ended early. The stages it did reach still show their scores on the meeting page.

**Should I add everyone in People blocking attribution?**
No. Many of the people listed are customers or prospects. Add only colleagues. Each person you add uses a seat.
