Adding and Removing Group Members
Information and instructions for adding and removing Brevity team members from a group
We’re currently transitioning our admin model from Team > Group to Organization > Team > Group, with admin roles becoming Organization Admin and Team Admin. As a result, some language in this article (for example, references to “Team” or “Group”) may not exactly match what you see in the product today. The underlying functionality described here remains the same, even if the labels and hierarchy in your app look slightly different while we complete this transition.
Add Existing Brevity Team Members to a Group
If a Brevity team account has already been created for a user, you can easily add that user to a group:

- In Brevity configuration, select the group where the user should be added.
- Click Add Members to Group.
- Click the Users drop-down menu and select the user or users you want to add to the group.
- Click Save.

Invite New Brevity Users to the Team and Add them to a Group Automatically
If the user or users you want to add to a group do not have Brevity accounts, you can simultaneously create a Brevity account for those users and invite them to the group.
Note that user accounts created via a group count toward your total Brevity seats, so before adding users with this method, note the number of existing users and the seats remaining for your instance in the upper-right corner of the Brevity window.

To add users to your Brevity team and a group simultaneously:

- In Brevity configuration, select the group where the user should be added.
- Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Add Members to Group button.
- Click Invite New Users to Your Team and Add Them to This Group.
- In the Invite New Users section, enter the person's First Name, Last Name, and Email address.
- Select a role. This role applies to the user at the Group level. For additional information, see:
- Click Send an invite.

Note that you can also simultaneously add multiple users to your Brevity team and a group by uploading a .csv file. For more information, see:
