Cloning and Editing a Context

Cloning and editing an existing context

Cloning a Context

You can clone an existing context, which creates a copy of the context that you can then edit and manage separately from the original context. This allows you to, for example, clone an existing context and update the AI Instructions in the cloned context to make the role play more difficult. After that, you could use both contexts within the course to provide a variation in difficulty for Brevity users.

To clone a context:

clonecontext

  1. Click a course from the Courses tab to enter the Change course workflow. From the Contexts step, find the context you want to clone and click Clone.
  2. Click Yes to confirm that you want to clone the context.

The cloned context appears with the text "Copy of" appended to the context name. From here, you can edit, share, and manage the context just as you would any other.

Editing a Context

You can edit existing contexts to make them more challenging, relevant, or accurate. Note that when you update a context, any active assignments that include that context will be updated automatically. Note that group admin and member users will be able to edit only contexts that they have created, or contexts that were shared with them with Editor privileges. For more information about editing contexts and their relationship with courses and assignments, see:
