Managing Courses

Manage existing Brevity courses from the Courses list

We’re currently transitioning our admin model from Team > Group to Organization > Team > Group, with admin roles becoming Organization Admin and Team Admin. As a result, some language in this article (for example, references to “Team” or “Group”) may not exactly match what you see in the product today. The underlying functionality described here remains the same, even if the labels and hierarchy in your app look slightly different while we complete this transition.

Once created, courses are listed on the Courses tab. From the Courses tab, you can manage all existing courses, including editing and sharing courses. Recall that courses can be created and managed at multiple levels, so before making changes, ensure that you have selected the correct group in the bottom-left corner of the Brevity window.

Archive a Course

Archiving a course removes the course from the Courses tab, allowing you to keep the list of courses manageable. Archiving a course does not delete the course; you can access and restore archived courses at any time. Note that archiving a course will cause any assignment that uses the course to become inaccessible to users.

To archive a course:

archive course

  1. Click the three-dots menu for the course you want to archive.
  2. Click Archive. Click Yes to confirm that you want to archive the course.

Accessing and Restoring Archived Courses

Archived courses are removed from the list of active courses, but can be accessed by changing the Status filter from any courses list. To access archived courses:

  1. Click the Status drop-down menu at the top of the courses list.
  2. Select the Archived check box. Archived courses now appear in the courses list.
  3. Click the three-dots menu for an archived course to either clone or unarchive that course.

Organizing Courses with Folders

You can create folders to organize courses, making them easier to interact with and manage. You could, for example, create folders based on group, region, conversation purpose, and more.

Folders can be used to organize all Brevity assets, including assignments, contexts, personas, and more. For more information about creating and using folders, see:

Bulk Actions

You can select multiple courses at once, which allows you to perform the following actions in bulk:

  • Create Folder
  • Archive
  • Unarchive

To perform a bulk action:
