Creating a Course Overview
Information about role play courses and their components
In Brevity, a Course is a structured role play scenario designed to train users in specific sales skills, improve their ability to achieve their sales objectives, and ultimately increase revenue. Each course is composed of a series of customizable elements and activities that enable a comprehensive and interactive training experience. Those elements are:
- Basic Info
- Contexts
- Topics
- Personas
Courses provide the role play content for assignments, which can be assigned to users in order for them to practice the content created in the course. You can create and manage courses from the Courses tab in the Brevity navigation panel.

Note that both Organization Admins and Team Admins can create courses, but there are differences regarding courses created by these user types.
Organization Admins:
- Can create courses at the All Organization level.
- Can create courses within any team.
Team Admins:
- Can create courses at the All Organization level.
- Can create courses within their team.
Additionally, only Organization Admins can share courses between teams, or from the All Organization level to specific teams.
Our recommendation is that if a course will be used by multiple teams, or if your organization does not use teams to organize users, courses should be created at the All Organization level by a Organization Admin. If a course will be used by only one team, the course should be created at that team level by either a Organization Admin or a Team Admin. For more information, see:
Courses can be created manually, or they can be created with the assistance of Ella. The articles in this section will be focused on manual course creation. For instructions on creating a course with Ella, see:
