Training Plan Builder: Overview

Turn Role Play Practice Into a Structured Learning Program

Training Plan Builder gives admin the tools to design sequenced, milestone-driven training programs — built directly on top of Brevity's AI role play engine.

Instead of assigning individual practice sessions, you build a full program: structured chapters, targeted practice sections, and progression rules that ensure reps advance only when they're ready.

Whether you're onboarding a cohort of 500 new financial advisors or ramping a sales team ahead of a product launch, Training Plan Builder gives you the structure to run it at scale — with AI practice baked into every step.

Who This Is For

Enablement teams running cohort-based onboarding. If your organization brings on groups of new hires through a defined certification or licensing program — common in financial services — Training Plan Builder gives you the sequenced, milestone-tracked structure those programs require. Reps can't skip ahead, and admins can see exactly where each person stands.

Enablement teams managing ongoing skill development. If your team regularly ships new training programs around product releases, competitive positioning, or evolving sales motions, Training Plan Builder lets you build reusable, structured curricula that move reps through beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill levels in a consistent, measurable way.

How It Works

Training Plans are organized in a three-level hierarchy: Training Plan → Chapter → Section.

A Training Plan is the top-level program — for example, "New Hire Certification" or "Q2 Product Launch Ramp." Inside each plan, Chapters group related content together, like "Onboarding Foundations" or "Objection Handling." Inside each Chapter, Sections are the individual units of practice — each one combining instructional content with a targeted AI role play scenario.

Chapters

Each Chapter can include a rich description with text, images, video, and PDFs to set context before practice begins. Admins configure an opening rule for each Chapter — controlling whether it unlocks immediately when the plan starts, or only after a learner has passed the previous Chapter. This enforces the progression order and prevents reps from skipping ahead.

Sections

Sections are where the practice happens. Each Section includes instructional content alongside a role play built from your existing Brevity repository — selecting the scenario context, the AI persona the rep will practice against, and the specific topics or skills being tested.

Admins set a passing criterion for each Section: a minimum score, a required number of attempts, or both. A rep must meet that bar before the next Section unlocks. This is what makes Training Plans certification-ready out of the box — every milestone is earned, not assumed.

Key Capabilities

  1. Structured progression. Chapters and Sections unlock sequentially based on rules you define. Reps see what's locked, what's open, and what they need to do to advance.

  2. AI role play inside every unit. Unlike traditional LMS platforms that sequence videos and static content, every Section in a Training Plan can include a live AI practice scenario — built from your own contexts, personas, and topics. Reps aren't just watching; they're practicing against realistic, dynamic buyers.

  3. Configurable passing criteria. Set a minimum score, a number of required attempts, or a consecutive passing requirement per Section. Criteria can be updated after launch, with controls for how changes affect users who have already completed the assignment.

  4. Assignment at scale. Assign a Training Plan to individual users or groups. All assignees move through the same structured program, and admins can track progress across the cohort.

  5. Plan management tools. Clone any Training Plan to create variations quickly. Organize plans into folders. Toggle plans active or inactive as programs evolve.

Reps Always Know Where They Stand

Once a Training Plan is assigned, Brevity handles the rest. Reps navigate to their My Training Plans tab to see exactly where they are in the program — what they've completed, what's unlocked and ready to practice, and what criteria they need to meet to advance. There's no guesswork about what to do next.

Admins build the program once. Reps pick up exactly where they left off, every time.

What to Expect in v1 (coming March 2026)

Training Plan Builder launches with the full core building experience and integrates with Brevity's existing Assignments & Role Play engine so reps can progress through their programs.

A few capabilities are on the roadmap for future releases:

  • Scheduled start dates for assignments (the ability to set a future activation date for a plan)
  • Expanded analytics and completion dashboards with drill-down reporting

Getting Started

Training Plan Builder is enabled at the organization level. Contact your Brevity Customer Success Manager to have it turned on for your account. Once enabled, administrators can access Training Plan in the main navigation.
