You've been invited to Brevity: getting started

Accept your invitation, set up your account, and know what to do first.

Accepting your invitation, setting up your account, and what to do first once you are in.

Step 1 — Find your invitation email

Look for an email from Brevity with a Join your team button. It went to your work email, and that is the address your invitation is tied to.

Opening the email and clicking that button is the quickest way in — it confirms your address for you, so there is no separate email to verify afterward.

Cannot find it? Check spam and junk, and search for "Brevity". If it is not there, ask the person who invited you to re-send it. Invitations do not expire, so a re-send is quick and safe.

Step 2 — Create your account

What you do next depends on how your company signs in.

Email and password (most common). Enter your details and choose a password. You may also be asked for a phone number. Use the same work email your invitation was sent to — a different address shows "That email doesn't match this invitation."

Continue with Google. Pick the Google account that matches your invited work email. Use your work Google account, not a personal one; the two addresses have to match.

Company single sign-on. If your company uses an identity provider such as Okta or Microsoft Entra, you will be sent to your company's sign-in page. Signing in there is all the confirmation Brevity needs. Because your account is managed by your company, password resets happen in your company's system rather than in Brevity.

Step 3 — Confirm your email, if you are asked

If you arrived by clicking the button in your invitation email, and signed up on that same address, you are already confirmed and go straight in.

If you went to Brevity directly instead of using the link — or if the invitation has been sitting in your inbox for more than a few days — you will get a confirmation email. Click the link in it, and you can sign in. If it does not arrive, check spam and make sure your address was spelled correctly. If it was mistyped, ask your admin to invite the correct address.

Step 4 — Accept the invitation

You will see Accept Invitation? with the name of your organization and who invited you. Click Accept Invitation.

You are never added to an organization silently — accepting is always your choice.

You then land in your team's workspace: not a pricing page, not an empty personal account.

If you see "You're not in an organization yet" instead, no invitation matches the address you used. Try your invited work email, or ask your admin to invite the address you are using.

What to do first, by role

Your invitation set your role.

If you are a Member

You see your team's home view: your assignments, practice activities, and your own progress and scores.

Start here:

  1. Open Assignments. Anything assigned to you before you joined is already waiting — it attaches automatically once you accept.
  2. Try one practice activity to get a feel for how a role play runs.
  3. Open My Profile and check your details. If you belong to more than one organization, the Memberships tab is where you switch between them.

If you are a Team Admin

You see everything a Member sees for your own work, plus management for your team: members, assignments and team analytics. You land in your team's view by default.

Start here:

  1. Open your team roster and confirm the right people are there. Anyone still marked Pending has not accepted yet.
  2. Review or set up assignments for your team.
  3. Skim your team analytics.
  4. If people are missing or stuck, whoever set up your organization can re-send invitations and help.

If you are an Org Admin

You see the whole organization: all teams, invitations, seats and billing, organization settings, and organization-wide analytics.

Start here:

  1. Review your team structure and any outstanding pending invitations.
  2. Confirm roles are right — grant the least access that fits each job.
  3. Check your seats. Every unaccepted invitation reserves one, so invitations can outrun your plan before anyone has joined.
  4. Set up organization-wide assignments or programs.

Troubleshooting

"That email doesn't match this invitation."
Use the exact work email your invitation was sent to. If you need it changed, ask your admin to re-invite the address you use.

"You're not in an organization yet."
No invitation was found for that address. Try your invited work email, or ask your admin to invite the one you are using.

"This invitation link is no longer valid."
It was most likely already accepted — try signing in. If it was cancelled, ask your admin for a fresh one.

No confirmation email arrived, or you typed the wrong address.
Check spam first. If the address was wrong, ask your admin to invite the correct one.

You have a login but cannot see your team.
Make sure you accepted the invitation and are signed in with your work email. If you belong to more than one organization, switch from My Profile → Memberships.

Single sign-on: password reset is not available.
Expected. Sign in through your company's system rather than the email and password form. For a locked account, contact your own IT team or admin.

Still stuck? Ask the person who invited you — they can see your status and re-send your invitation, and can bring in Brevity support for anything they cannot fix.
