How to Add and Remove Users in Brevity

Brevity Users and Seats

When you add a new Brevity user, an email is automatically sent allowing that person to create their Brevity account. Removing a Brevity user removes their ability to log in to Brevity.

Add an Individual User to Your Organization

To add a single user to your Brevity organization:

  1. Click Invite Users
  2. In the Invite New Users section, enter the person's First Name, Last Name, and Email address.
  3. Select a role. This role applies to the user at the All Organization level. For additional information, see:

  5. Click Send an invite.

Add Multiple Users to Your Organization

You can add multiple users to your organization by uploading a .csv file. Using a Team or Group code also allows adding those users directly into their designated space in Brevity.

The .csv file must be in the form shown below, including the header first row:

To add multiple users to your Brevity organization:

  1. Click Invite Users.
  2. Click Bulk upload using a .csv file.
  3. If needed, download the sample .csv file from the side pop out window
  4. Follow the instructions for the correct way to designate Team and / or Group for new users
  5. Click "Attach a CSV" and select your completed .csv file.
  6. Click Upload Members.
Note: Adding new users directly to Teams or User Groups requires a Number or Letter code. This code is mapped to a specific Team or Group at time of opening the invite window. If you recently added new Teams or User Groups, you may need to refresh your window to ensure they are included. If a Team or Group have been deleted, you may see an error indicating the code is no longer valid. Always be sure to check your Team or Group code with the most current version of your mapping legend prior to upload.

 

Remove a User from Your Organization

To remove a single organization member:

  1. Click the three-dots menu at the far right of the user's row.
  2. Click Remove from Organization.
  3. In the Remove Organization Member window, type the user's email address and click Delete.

 

To remove multiple organization members:

  1. Select the check box at the far left of each user's row.
  2. Click Actions > Remove Users.
  3. Follow the prompts in the Remove Organization Member window to confirm deletion.

 

Add Existing Brevity Organization Members to a Team

If a Brevity organization account has already been created for a user, you can easily add that user to a team:

  1. In your Brevity configuration, select the team where the user should be added by clicking on the Team on the left side panel.
  2. Click Add Members to Team.
  3. Click the Users drop-down menu and select the user or users you want to add to the team.
  4. Click Add.

 

You can also remove users from a Team by selecting the three dot Actions button to the right of their user record. Removing a user from a Team revokes their access to any Team-specific assignments but retains their seat inside the Org.
